You know what your putting in YOUR mouth?!?!

BEEF CATTLE
"Beef Cattle" spend most of their lives on overcrowded feedlots. Ranchers have found that they can maximize profits by giving each steer less than 20 sq ft of living space-- the equivilent of putting a dozen half ton steers in a typical american bedroom! Steers undergo painful procedures like branding, castration, and dehorning with any anesthetics. They often die of pneumonia, dehydration, or heat exhaustion from spending long periods without food or water in overcrowded trucks while being transported to feedlots or slaughterhouses.

CHICKENS and TURKEYS
Chickens and turkeys today are typically crammed by the tens of thousands into sheds, each chicken with less living space than a standard sheet of paper. Modern chickens upper bodies grow six to seven times as fast as they used tothey are genetically bred to grow so large and so fast that their legs, lungs, and hearts often cant keep up. Turkeys are such bulky animals that they cant even breed naturally anymore. Many of these animals, whose lives are miserable from birth, suffer lung collapse, heart failure, and crippling leg deformities. Because farms are basically unregulated, extreme abuse can go completely unnoticed, as when PETA went undercover on a turkey farm in Minnesota.
